Prince Throws Steaming Saturday Night Summer Party.

The sultry funk pumping outdoors at 77 couldn’t have been more fitting for this steaming Saturday Summer night.

The DJ spun sexy ballads and grooves that so perfectly paved the way for a set by Frank McComb & band.  Fender Rhodes and great vocals…who could ask for more?  And then, Prince & the band hit it, performing a bunch of sexy slow jams (and a few fast ones) to the appreciative poolside crowd.  ;-)

Hot Summer Nights don’t get much better than this!

(Color the doc green with envy.  With how hot it was last night, Prince shoulda made it a bathing suits optional pool party.  Thanks to our no-name reporter for sending this in.-DrFB)

So his decision not to come and play to 55000 waiting fans in Dublin had nothing to do with ill health then……. I guess it’s funny to watch your fans loose hundreds of dollars on flights and hotels.

  2. Missed him in Dublin……sure enuff (posters still up all over everywhere…..rub that salt in why don’t ya!) but heck; I’m just happy to know he’s O.K.

  6. congrats Mr P you have the ability to hold a party can we try playing at the concert next time or at least saying you wont more than 6 days before

though it did give us a chance to hear some old hits that he wont play live and i havent heard/seen a better version out there of Sexy MF than that which was played on Monday (yeah they are all still out there the fans can play the make names up game as well as he can lol)

wish some fans could experience the 77 action maybe one day !!

  8. Now, that’s not nice. Propaganda for his party but nowhere a statement about the reason for the Dublin cancellation.

    Ain’t life a bitch.

  9. Nicci Starr Says:

Gosh I am so sorry for people who missed out on Dublin me I was one but it weren’t no fault of P’s so please don’t diss the man that gave us so much love n music.

  10. 0(+>FUNK Says:

Luck of the Irish my ass ! What a drag, I watched prince movies all day. I agree with Nicci Starr though it’s not his fault, and he proberly did the party cuz he felt guilty. At least he’s ok! My jaw dropped when I heard someone say he better be in hospital or ill, how can anyone wish that on another human being let alone him.

    WTF??

Prince left 55,000 fans that had bought tickets and paid for flights that couldn’t be refunded standing in Dublin with a no-show. He gave no explanation (MCD said he ‘just changed his mind’ when I spoke to the organisers). A lot of the fans thought he was actually ill. I spoke to people on the day he was supposed to play who were genuinely worried about him.

I’m not impressed with this BS.

    Pure arrogance.
