America voted, Top 10 are chosen.
Hello all and welcome back to another round of eliminations for the greatest prize in music. That’s right, tonight the top 11 becomes the top 10, and we are one step closer to finding out who is out next American Idol. So with that, let’s talk about what happened tonight.
After the first video vignette of the contestants’ performances, after watching it, I stand by my predictions. Let’s see if America agreed. First was Brooke who easily went through. David A. and Michael also made it through pretty quick. How Michael made it through is beyond me. Carly, in a major shocker was in the bottom three. Am I surprised? No, because America can’t vote. Not that they are voting wrong, but there is a common thought that runs through all of America to make them vote the wrong way. I’ll save that for another day.
After the commercial, they did a behind the scenes for the new ford video, along with the video itself. Man, aren’t those things so amazing and fun huh? Once Ryan finished his banter with Carly, we found out that David C. and Ramiele made it through. Another shocker this round with Rami making it through. However, in a major upset, Kristy was put in the bottom three. I swear to all that is holy, if she keeps making it through, I’m gonna hurt someone.
After the next break, they had another round of viewer questions. All be it funny, again, what’s the point. Once that was done, Kelly Pickler performed. I will admit, when I watched her on season 5, I was not a huge fan. To be honest, I hated her. Wait, I’m sorry, I was told hate was too strong a word for me to use. So let’s say I STRONGLY disliked her greatly, and with extreme prejudice. That being said, she has gotten way better in the last two years. For a country performance, it was really good.
After the next break, they did another video vignette for Idol Gives Back. It was touching and heartfelt. This year it will be on Wednesday, April 9th. Mark it on your schedule. With that, they did the final three. Syesha immediately made it through to the top 10. Then the brought Amanda and Chikezie on stage and told Chikezie to sit and put Amanda in the bottom 3. I guess I am 1 for 4 this year, and totally outraged that Amanda and Carly are in the bottom three when they were clearly better than some of the other trash that was sung last night.
So tonight, it’s Amanda going home. I am beyond upset by this decision. She is way too good to be sent home this soon, right before the top 10, and not to mention before Kristy. I don’t know what to say.
