AI: The top 12 are Chosen
Tonight we choose the top 12. What is the theme of the night? Pray you didn’t suck too hard to get voted off. So who did and who made it? Let’s find out together.
The show opened with last year’s runner up Blake Lewis singing his song, How May Word. I admit fully that I was always a Blake fan. I wanted him to win over that tragedy that did win, but this song really sucked hard core. I’ve heard him sing Break Anotha on the talk show circuit. WAY better song than this one. I don’t know why he would sing that.
First up were the guys. After the routine video montage, Ryan did his normal thing and put David Cook, David Archuleta, and Jason Castro through to the next round before going to break and then switching to the girls. Looks like they are going to make them all suffer till the very VERY end. So far America voted well, we’ll see if they keep that up.
Back from commercial it was the girls’ video montage and then Ryan did what they pay him to do again. At which point he put through Brooke White and Syesha Mercado. In a surprise twist he then picked Kady Malloy and sent her home. I was totally shocked by this choice. I mean, she has done such a great job. WHY GOD WHY?!?! WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?!?! I still think it’s such a prick move for the show to force them to sing the song that got them kicked off the show. I think America got that right, however they put Brooke through, and that saddens me.
Back again from the commercial Ryan switched back to the boys where he sent David Hernandez and Michael Johns through to the next round and sent Luke Manard home. That’s two for two for me on who was sent home. Now to see if I can make it 3 for three.
Back from the break Ryan went to the girls again and sent Ramiele Malubay, Carly Smithson, and my girl Amanda Overmyer right through to the next round. The Final two girls were Aisa’h Epperson and Kristy Lee Cook. Last night I predicted that if America didn’t agree with me and send Brooke home, which they didn’t, then they would send Kristy home. I was totally wrong, because America sent Asia’h home. Am I upset? Not really. I didn’t think she was that great, and my room mate hated her, but I thought she did well enough to go through. I’m two for three.
The last two boys are Danny Noriega and Chikezie. On Tuesday I predicted Danny should go home, but that Votetheworst.com could save him. In the end Danny went home. I was three for four this week. I have to say, once the guys are kicked off and they have to sing that song again, you can really tell the good singers from the bad ones. I guess the show really does do a number on your nerves, because I think Danny did way better with the song tonight than he did on Tuesday. Maybe because the pressure is now off. I don’t know. Either way, I look forward to seeing what happens starting next week.
